LG G2: Specs, Apps, News, Features & Reviews
LG is going to hold a press conference on August 7th in New York City where they’re going to announce their next flagship phone, the G2. The LG G2 (great name, right?) will have a 5.2 inch 1080p screen, Snapdragon 800, and other top of the line specifications.
LG is going to announce a phone called the G2 in New York City on August 7th. It’s been leaked so many times that I’ve lost count. Quick recap: 5.2 inch 1080p screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, 2 GB of RAM, and a 13 megapixel camera. What makes this phone “special” is that the volume buttons are on the back of the device. Weird, I know. Anyway, the guys at PhoneArena have scored two more images of the device. Unlike the last leak, which had a photo of the 2,540 mAh battery, this leak shows the battery holding 2,610 mAh. That’s an extra 70 mAh, which may not sound like much, but every little bit helps.
LG is going to announce a new phone in New York City on August 7th. Everyone knows it’s going to be the G2. Everything about that phone has leaked. Spoiler Alert: 5.2 inch 1080p screen, Snapdragon 800, 13 megapixel camera. Anyway, similar to how Samsung launched a series of tease videos before the GS4 unveiling, LG is doing the same thing.
This latest one uses stop animation, and it’s … just watch.
LG is going to announce a new flagship smartphone on August 7th at an event in New York City. That device will be called the LG G2. Nope, no Optimus. That brand is dead. We’ve seen numerous leaks of the device during the past few weeks, and today there’s a new one straight out of Korea that gives us some more detail about some of the “boring” aspects of the device.
LG is going to hold a press conference in New York on August 7th to unveil their next flagship smartphone, the G2. Whether or not they stick the Optimus branding in there has yet to be decided. The phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 inside, that’s been confirmed by both LG and Qualcomm, and as for the rest of the specs, supposedly there’s a 13 megapixel camera inside with optical image stabilization, 2 GB of RAM, 5.2″ 1080p screen and the latest version of Android.
Do me a favor. Put on a pair of headphones, hit play on the video below, and close your eyes. Now tell me, don’t you think that music sounds exactly like the music that Samsung used* for the GS4 launch earlier this year?
The Greek website Techblog, who has actually scored a few decent exclusives believe it or not, has some information about LG’s upcoming flagship phone that’s kind of a big deal. You know how we’ve all been saying the G2 will have a 5 inch screen? Turns out it’s going to be 5.2 inches, which I’m all for. Bigger is better, in my opinion at least. And as for the camera, it’ll have optical image stabilization.
The Korea Economic Daily, a newspaper that’s been around for almost half a century (1964), is reporting that both the Samsung Galaxy Note III and the LG G2 will ship with 3 GB of RAM. Why? Because LTE-Advanced devices need more RAM in order to stay zippy.
A device simply called the “LG-F320” has shown up in the AnTuTu benchmark database. It managed to score a hair over 32,000 points. To put that into some perspective, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 powered Samsung Galaxy S4 fails to break 25,000. So what do we know about the “LG-F320”? Other than the fact that it’s clocked at 2.3 GHz, nothing. The quick powering the device is obviously the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, but again, little else can be confirmed.
