With the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge reaching its half-year anniversary, Samsung has teamed up with Best Buy to launch a ‘Pink Gold’ variant of the handsets in the United States. Samsung had first launched the Pink Gold variant of its flagship handsets in South Korea earlier this year.

Samsung today unveiled its latest flagship Note handset, the Galaxy Note 7. Samsung’s Note series of devices have always been based on its flagship Galaxy S devices, and this time around, things are no different.
Samsung made the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition official earlier this month, and now the handset is available to buy.
Earlier this month, Consumer Reports found in its testing that the Galaxy S7 active failed their water-resistance test. For a phone that features an IP68 certification, this obviously should not have happened. Samsung was quick to respond and said back then that it is looking into the matter.
Samsung’s ‘Active’ range of Galaxy S handsets are known for packing high-end internals and their rugged nature and surviving even the toughest of conditions out there. However, in Consumer Reports testing, the Galaxy S7 Active failed to pass their water-resistance test, which ideally should have not been a child’s play for it.
Samsung has managed to make TouchWiz usable over the last couple of years by greatly cutting down the number of unwanted features and simplifying others. While TouchWiz is still not close to stock Android, you can easily live with the skin if you end up installing a third-party launcher from the Google Play Store. Plus, some of the modifications that Samsung has made to Android with TouchWiz are really useful.
Samsung Has Sold 26 Million Galaxy S7 Units since Launch; Expected to Post Its Highest Quarterly Profit in 2 Years
Samsung today announced its second quarter earning guidance in which it posted an operating profit of 8.1 trillion won (US$7 billion) on sales totalling 50 trillion won. The company’s mobile division, which makes up a huge chunk of its total earnings, is expected to net a profit of 4 trillion won — the company’s highest quarterly profit in two years.
To celebrate the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Samsung today unveiled the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition in Brazil. The company in conjunction with the International Olympic Committee will be giving 12,500 units of Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games edition and Gear IconX to all Olympians who will be taking part in the games this year.
Samsung’s German subsidiary has released a video that confirms the launch date of the Galaxy S7 edge Olympics Edition to be on the 7th of July. This device, would represent Samsung’s third collaborative effort with the international sporting competition.
In a surprising move, Samsung today launched the unlocked variants of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge in the United States. The Galaxy S7 and its edge sibling are already available across all major carriers and retailers in the United States, but they are locked to certain carriers/networks.
