Samsung Galaxy F: Specs, Apps, News & Reviews
Following an initial tease late last year, Samsung has just officially announced its first foldable smartphone.
If we could count the legitimacy of a device based on the number of leaks we’ve seen of it, the Galaxy F from Samsung would practically be an official device at this point. We’ve seen it in two different shades of gold, and most recently strutting its Crystal Clear duds as well. This new leak, though, gives us our rumored first look at the device in the real world.
The Galaxy S5 was Samsung’s flagship for 2014, launched earlier in the year. And then Samsung launched the Galaxy S5 LTE-A, solely for South Korea, and suddenly the flagship from earlier in the year isn’t so much the flagship of 2014 anymore. Now, if leaks of a rumored device are true, Samsung has yet another flagship replacement in the pipeline.
At this point, whatever the Galaxy F is, it’s certainly going to come off as being a colorful device. Another leak of the oft-rumored handset has appeared online, and this time around we get to see it front-and-center, with all of the gold trimming in place.
Looks like Samsung may just be going a little overboard this time around with the gold hue. While we’ve seen plenty of leaks in the past centered on Samsung’s “better” Galaxy S5, after they officially unveiled the Galaxy S5 LTE-A for South Korea earlier this month, most people thought the Galaxy F would disappear. That’s apparently not the case.
We have already seen some live pictures of the Galaxy F make their way to the Internet over the last couple of weeks. Today, courtesy of @evleaks, we get to see the ‘perfect golden’ hue Galaxy F in a leaked official press render.
Still not tired of all those leaked images of the Galaxy F? Well, today the guys over at PhoneArena have received another image of the handset in which it is compared side-by-side to Korean company’s current flagship — the Galaxy S5.
It is quite clear from the image that Samsung has considerably reduced the bezels on the Galaxy F (a.k.a the Galaxy S5 Prime) compared to the S5, which gives it a very sleek and modern look.
The Samsung Galaxy F has made appearances in the rumor mill for as long as we can remember. However, it started making headlines only recently when an image of the device was leaked out on Twitter. But the folks at Phone Arena have managed to access a bunch of new photos of the smartphone over the weekend, giving us a better look at Samsung’s upcoming QHD handset.
According to a report by Asia Today, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime (a.k.a. Project KQ) will be launched in June this year. The Korean newspaper was quoting industry sources which claim that an upgraded version of the current Samsung flagship will break cover later this year.
