Samsung is going to launch a lot of different Galaxy S10 variants on February 20, but leaks aren’t going to slow down anytime soon.
The rumor mill has been pumping out early looks at the upcoming Galaxy S10 lineup for weeks now. The latest batch is certainly no different. Courtesy of SlashLeaks today we not only have a pretty good look at Samsung’s cheaper Galaxy S10 variant, but also a confirmation of the name. Up until now the cheapest model within the new range of devices has been called the “Galaxy S10 Lite”, however it looks like it will be called the “Galaxy S10e” after all.
This handset is going to be the smallest of the variants, and it should also feature the lowest price. It will reportedly boast a 5.8-inch display, a single front-facing camera in the “Infinity-O” hole-punch design, and a pair of cameras on the back. And while it’s expected it will cost less, there is no telling quite yet just how much cheaper it will be compared to the standard Galaxy S10 and the even larger Galaxy S10 Plus.
Samsung is going to be busy soon, but it will be interesting to see if the plan actually works out. 2018 wasn’t a strong year for Samsung, so the company is planning on throwing just about everything it can (and maybe even the kitchen sink) at the wall to see if something sticks. There will be the three Galaxy S10 variants, a special edition model that will be equipped with 5G (and a second 5G-enabled phone later this year), and the company is launching its first foldable smartphone this year as well.
Will any of it work to right Samsung’s ship? We’ll have to wait and see. Are you planning on buying a new Samsung-branded smartphone this year?
