The Lenovo-owned Motorola reportedly has a foldable phone on the way, but the company isn’t quite giving up on the notch just yet.
Courtesy of a report from MySmartPrice, we have our first look at the incoming Moto G7 lineup of smartphones. There will be four phones in the mix later this year: The G7, G7 Plus, G7 Play, and the G7 Power. And while we get a clear look at the handsets, there isn’t a lot of information to go along with the pictures. However, since this is Motorola’s G-series, it’s likely that all of these new devices will be mid-range handsets.
You can see the Moto G7 at the top of this article, and the Moto G7 Plus just below. Meanwhile, the Moto G7 Play is pictured below in blue, and the Moto G7 Power is shown near the bottom of this article. The handsets share plenty of similarities in the features department, but also make some interesting changes between each to help them stand out in the design department.
As far as the big notches are concerned, both the Moto G7 Play and G7 Power have the wider notches, while the Moto G7 and G7 Power have teardrop notch designs. The Moto G7 Play and G7 Power also boast a bigger chin on the bottom of the display, a single camera on the back, and a fingerprint reader on the back as well.
The Moto G7 and G7 Plus also have a fingerprint reader on the back, as well as a pair of cameras. The Moto G7 Power’s main feature point will probably be the battery, which has been previously rumored to be around 5000mAh in size. There are also rumors the handset will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. Meanwhile, the Moto G7 Play is expected to have a Snapdragon 623 processor under the hood. The Moto G7 and G7 Plus may have a Snapdragon 632 processor in each handset.
Finally, a bit of information on pricing. This report indicates the Moto G7 Play will cost €149 EUR, or about $170. The G7 Power is said to come in at €209 EUR, or about $238. Mid-range devices that don’t cost too much are still popular choices, so what do you make of the Moto G7 series?
