Word on the street is that HTC is planning on launching the U12 Life at some point in the near future, and HTC may be teasing that handset’s upcoming unveiling.
On its official Twitter account on Thursday, HTC teased out that it will be announcing something new on Thursday, August 30. The text in the tweet says, “Beauty and power meet on August 30th 2018”, which is coupled with an image of HTC’s “U” branding. The image also echoes the unveiling date for good measure.
Unfortunately, with the event only one week away, HTC is playing this one close to the vest for now. The tweet doesn’t include any major teases for the device itself, and the image doesn’t include a hint at what we may be getting next week.
As mentioned above, though, the rumor mill has mentioned the U12 Life a couple of different times in recent weeks. That handset is apparently going to be a mid-range offering, with a 6-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of built-in storage. We don’t have long to wait before we find out if those rumors are the real deal or not.
Are you in the market for a new mid-range handset? If so, will you considering HTC’s latest offering, depending on those finalized specs and pricing?[via @htc]
