The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are now official. Samsung has also gone ahead and provided details about the price and availability of the device. The Galaxy S9 is launching a month earlier than the Galaxy S8 from last year, and so it is also going to make its way the market earlier than usual.
Samsung Galaxy S9 Pre-order Date
In the United States, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ go up for pre-order from March 2 across all major carriers. This includes Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and US Cellular.
Samsung Galaxy S9 Availability
The Samsung Galaxy S9 will hit the retail stores in the United States on March 16. The handset will be available in black, purple, and blue colors. The new gray color will be limited to the international markets.
Samsung Galaxy S9 Price
All major carriers in the United States are running a trade-in promotion that will net you a discount of anywhere between $300 to $350 via monthly bill credits if you trade-in your existing smartphone for the Galaxy S9.
AT&T will offer the Galaxy S9 for $26.34/month over 30 months under its AT&T Next plan. The bigger Galaxy S9+ will be available for $30.50 monthly installments over 30 months.
You can get the Galaxy S9 for $30/month on T-Mobile. The bigger Galaxy S9+ will require you to pay an additional $150 upfront. You can also purchase the Galaxy S9 and S9+ outright from T-Mobile for $720 and $840, respectively.
The big Red carrier will sell the Galaxy S9 for $33.33/month, while the bigger Galax S9+ will set you back by $38.74/month. The unlocked variants of the handsets are also more expensive on Verizon with a price tag of $799.99 and $929.99, respectively.
Samsung, Amazon, Best Buy
Samsung will also start selling the unlocked Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ through its online store, Best Buy, Amazon, and other major retailers in the United States from March 16. The handset will be available for $729 and $839.99. It can also be purchased through monthly financing that will set you back by $30/month for the Galaxy S9 and $35/month for the Galaxy S9+ over a period of two years.
