Samsung Galaxy S8 Press Render Shows Off Thin Bezels

Samsung has already confirmed, via its press event at Mobile World Congress this year, that it plans on unveiling the Galaxy S8 –its next flagship smartphone– on March 29.

To help build up the hype, serial leaker Evan Blass, @evleaks, has just released a full-frontal press render of the upcoming flagship handset, showing off the thin bezels, hardware keys, and the fact the handset will be doing away with capacitive navigation buttons.

The new image doesn’t reveal anything we haven’t already seen, aside from giving it all a clean, professional marketing look. We can see the iris scanner above the display, a new feature to the Galaxy S lineup (but one that was initially launched with the Galaxy Note 7), and we can see the lack of capacitive navigation buttons below the display.

We can also see the “Bixby” button, the hardware key on the left edge below the volume rockers, which is rumored to launch the dedicated digital personal assistant living inside the handset. Along the right edge is the power button.

The Galaxy S8 will change things up when it comes to the familiar design of smartphones we’ve come to love and expect over the years.

Are you looking forward to the Galaxy S8?
