Samsung is bringing iPhone like exposure control to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge

Samsung plans on bringing the exposure control feature from the iPhone to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge with the upcoming Android 5.1 update for the handset.

While Android devices have had exposure control option for a long time, they are not as intuitive as on the iPhone. On the latter, once the camera has focused on a subject, users can change the exposure level by simply sliding a finger up or down the screen.

Samsung plans on adding a similar feature to its flagship handsets — the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge — with the Android 5.1 update for them. A previous report had also indicated that Samsung plans on adding shutter speed control and the ability to shoot pictures in RAW with the update.

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge have among the best cameras in the smartphone market currently, and by adding an intuitive exposure control, Samsung will only be making the whole experience better.
