Samsung Galaxy S5 may sport a plastic and faux leather design

Samsung latest flagship Android phones have a design that you either love or hate. In its 2013 models, Samsung dropped the plastic front and back from previous models and replaced it with a plastic front face and a rear cover adorned with faux leather. If you dislike the pleather look and feel, you may be disappointed by this latest rumor, which suggests this fake leather look is here to stay for at least one more generation of smartphones.

According to Sammobile and, Samsung may be waiting on its all-metal phones and may  release the design with the next generation Note or its rumored luxury F-series phones. Samsung is allegedly not quite ready to mass produce the metal casing needed for all metal phones. As a result, the company may be forced to use the plastic and pleather materials for the Galaxy S5, which will likely debut in the first half of 2014.

Do you have any preference for metal or faux leather? Or is the functionality of a phone more important than its looks?
