Samsung will reportedly be unveiling the Galaxy Note 8 in August this year at an event in New York. After the delayed launch of the Galaxy S8 this year, it was presumed that the Galaxy Note 8’s launch will also be delayed.
Last year, in a hurry to quickly bring the Galaxy Note 7 to the market, Samsung ended up using faulty batteries on it. After a huge hit in its goodwill, the company made a strong comeback this year with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
Samsung was widely expected to integrate a fingerprint scanner into the display of the Galaxy S8 but could not do so due to yield issues and time constraints. It as automatically assumed then that the company would solve all such issues and use the fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy Note 8 especially since the Galaxy S8 was widely panned for its odd fingerprint location.
