If you have ever gone through the process of rooting your Android device, you must have come across the app SuperSU, widely considered as the best root managing permissions app available for Android. Developed by Chainfire, SuperSU works on almost all Android devices out there, and is the root manager to use.
In most handsets, gaining root access is a pretty simple task once you have managed to install a custom recovery on it. This is because the only thing that you now need to do boot into the said custom recovery and flash the SuperSU ZIP file.
The only problem here is that it can sometimes get a little tough to find the download link of the latest version of the SuperSU ZIP file. The different version of the root manager don’t help things either. So to make your life a wee bit easier, we have collated the download link of various versions of SuperSU below.
- SuperSU stable – Stable, but always a month or two behind the latest beta release
- SuperSU beta – Almost bleeding edge, though one can run into issues once in a while
- SuperSU latest – The very latest alpha build. Only use for testing purposes
If you are facing some issues or want to report a bug in SuperSU, you can head over to this thread on XDA forums.
