Refurbished Galaxy Note 7 Likely to Launch in Late June

Samsung Galaxy Note 7

Samsung has already confirmed that it will be selling refurbished Galaxy Note 7 units in certain markets of the world. Now, a new report from South Korea suggests that the handset will be making its way to the market from the end of June.

Considering the handsets recently received their Wi-Fi certification, a June launch seems likely. Since Samsung is already busy with the launch of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ right now, it does not make sense for the company to launch the refurbished Note 7 units now and take the spotlight away from its flagship handsets.

The refurbished Galaxy Note 7 units will sport the same specifications and features as the model that originally launched. However, the battery capacity will be reduced to 3000mAh. Out of the total 3-4 million Note 7 units that it recalled, Samsung expects to sell around 300,000 units of them in South Korea alone. The handset is expected to be priced around $600 and will only be released in limited markets from where Samsung is able to get the necessary approvals.

Will you buy a refurbished Galaxy Note 7 with a lower battery capacity? Or has the battery explosions from last year tarnished the brand for you?
