The LG G6 has leaked plenty of times in the last one month, and the company itself has confirmed some key features of the device. Now, a week before the handset’s official unveiling, more photos of the G6 have surfaced on the internet.
Today’s leak does not reveal anything that has not already been revealed in previously leaked photos. However, they do provide a clear look at the rear of the handset, its dual camera setup, and the fingerprint sensor. Additionally, the front of the photo also gives us a look at the Always-On display feature of the phone which looks largely unchanged from the G5 last year.
The G6 will be sacrificing the modular approach that LG debuted with the G5 last year. Instead, the Korean company has gone for a glass front and back with a metallic chassis. This has allowed LG to ensure that the G6 is water and dust-resistant. This, however, has led LG to sacrifice the removable battery on the handset, though it has tried making up for it by including a beefier 3200mAh battery.
LG has already confirmed that the G6 will come with a 5.7-inch QHD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display, an upgraded 32-bit quad-DAC, and its new UX 6.0 skin that will come with new features to take advantage of the 18:9 aspect ratio display. The G6 will be the first major flagship smartphone to be announced this year. In a bid to launch the handset ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and other flagship phones on the market, LG will be using a Snapdragon 821 chipset on the handset, This is due toSamsung taking dibs on the initial supply of Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 835 chipset.
