This Is LG’s G6 Featuring Minimal Bezels and Rounded Display Corners

LG G6

With just over a month left for its official unveiling, key details and a high-resolution image of the LG G6 have been leaked by The Verge. The leaked image only shows the top half of the phone including the minimal top bezel and the rounded display corners.

While the bottom half of the phone is not pictured, the report points that the bottom bezel is only slightly taller than the top bezel. The phone overall has a screen-to-bezel ratio that is greater than 90 percent similar to that of Xiaomi’s Mi Mix and Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S8. LG has already announced that the G6 would make use of a 5.7-inch display with QHD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.

The source of the leak also claims that the G6 will be made entirely out of glass and metal. It will also feature a headphone jack and water-resistance, but its battery will not be removable. LG was the last major OEM to continue offering removable batteries on its flagship handset, but with the G6, the company is finally bidding adieu to it. The rear of the handset will continue to feature a dual-camera setup similar to that of the G5 and a fingerprint sensor.

A recent report points to LG using the Snapdragon 821 chipset inside the G6 instead of Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 835 chip. If true, the move is unlikely to go down well with spec-focused consumers and will put LG’s 2017 flagship at a disadvantage when compared to other flagships.
