Google today announced that more than 70 third-party apps can now display cards in Google Now. This is in addition to the 40 apps that had announced support for Google Now cards back in January this year.
The list of new partners include ZipCar, OpenTable, Runkeeper, ABC News and more. By integrating with third-party apps, Google will be able to make Now more useful as it will be able to deliver relevant information depending on the time and situation.
Get breaking news about the aftermath of the Nepal earthquake from ABC News, Circa, or feedly
Know when your pad thai is about to arrive with reminders from Eat24 that the food you ordered will soon be on your doorstep, or get inspired with the recipe of the day from Allrecipes
Keep your fitness goals front and center with gentle nudges from Runkeeper, Jawbone, or Adidas
And if you’re out to dinner, simply tap on a Now card to pay your bill with OpenTable
You will need to make sure that your Google Search app and third-party apps are running the very latest version. The feature will be enabled by Google from their servers over the next few weeks.
