Samsung to bundle Microsoft’s productivity apps on its upcoming tablets

Samsung today announced that it will be bundling Microsoft’s mobile productivity apps and services on more of its devices.

The announcement from the company states that it will be bundling Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype on its tablets released in the first half of 2015.

The company is already bundling Microsoft’s OneDrive, OneNote and Skype, on its latest flagship — the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. It is also offering 100GB of free storage space to OneDrive users who purchase the Korean giant’s latest flagships’.

“Our goal is to meet the ever-evolving needs of both consumers and business customers and give them more power to discover new mobile experiences,” said SangChul Lee, executive vice president of the Strategic Marketing Office, IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics. “We believe our suite of premium mobile products coupled with Microsoft’s productivity services will offer users the mobility they need in both their personal and business life.”

For businesses, Samsung and Microsoft will be offering three different versions of Office 365: Business, Business Premium and Enterprise. The devices will also come pre-loaded with Samsung’s KNOX security solution and a setup service to allow enterprises to easily and quickly deploy the products and provide any support.
