Yesterday, thanks to some FCC documents filling, we managed to get our first look on what the Nexus 5 from LG will look like. Today, we have some more information about the device, once again thanks to the FCC filling and some good investigative work by the folks over at PhoneArena.
The torn-down Nexus 5 that appeared in yesterday’s FCC images uses the same OIS camera module as seen on the LG G2. Rumors and leaks have strongly suggested that the Nexus 5 will share similar internals with the LG G2, and this leak further gives credential to that rumor.
The use of OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) greatly improves the imaging capabilities of mobile devices, especially in low-light. The HTC One, LG G2 and the high-end Nokia Lumia series being the perfect example of this. The LG G2 camera has also been getting pretty good reviews in its initial reviews as well.
It looks like with the Nexus 5, Google is all set to fix one of the long standing issues with its Nexus line-up of handsets – an absolute garbage of a camera.Like this post? Share it!
