Confirmation: Nexus 7 (2013) hitting the UK on August 28th for £200, rest of EU soon after?

ASUS, the company that made the 2012 Nexus 7 and who is also making the 2013 Nexus 7, has confirmed to the UK website Pocket-lint that Google’s latest tiny tablet will hit the British empire on August 28th for 200 pounds. Mind you, that’s the price for the 16 GB model. The 32 GB version is just an extra 40 quid. And as for the 4G LTE flavor, no one knows anything about that yet, either in terms or pricing or availability. What about the rest of Europe? No clue. Sorry.

Should you even buy the Nexus 7? Every review I’ve read has said it’s the best tablet to ever come out. Period. That even includes the iPad and the iPad mini. While I personally wouldn’t go so far as to say an Android tablet can best Apple’s full size iPad, I will say that I’m personally willing to shell out money for this new Nexus 7, assuming it reaches my country. And I’ll be waiting for the 4G LTE model, so my wallet is going to stay shut for at least another month or two.

What makes the Nexus 7 special? Watch the review my buddy Taylor Martin made.

Im having the 1st gen..my perception of asus making good quality products dropped after this issue.well u tech ppl dont use products as long as we consumers do so u proly wouldnt see issues that we do.1st few months im fine with it.i bought mine in october, now not even a year problems are propping out, problems that other n7 users had too.like the screen is turning yellow, very obvious yellow tinge, the battery after time, takes longer and longer to charge and the battery discharge takes faster and faster.mine now takes like 20 hrs to charge.i sent back to asus for warranty(mind u its not even a year) so they apparently ‘changed both the lcd and the battery’,took it back,lo and behold, the screen has a more yellowish tinge, the battery still takes forever to charge.few of my friends that bought a n7 too had various quality control related issues.most of them will not get another asus product too.so i say asus cut too too many corners for the price, not worth the trouble you’re getting, unless you’re planning on changing it once every 1 or so.
