Earlier today I covered some speculation surrounding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab 3. Funny enough, the company just formally announced it. It has a 7 inch screen that pushes 1024 x 600 pixels, it has a dual core 1.2 GHz processor, 3 megapixel rear camera, 1.2 megapixel front camera, and 16 GB of storage which of course you’ll be able to expand via microSD.
There are going to be two versions. The WiFi model will start shipping next month; price has yet to be announced. The 3G model will ship in July, and get this, you’ll be able to make phone calls with it!
This device is clearly aimed at the low end of the market. That screen just sounds ridiculous. Why did Samsung even bother putting a camera inside? Bet they could’ve shoved a higher quality LCD panel in there if they left the Tab camera-less.
And as for the design, unsurprisingly it looks like a Galaxy S III. Oh the horror!
